Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards for electrical safety). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to complex industrial electrical systems, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system installations.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other power tools to identify issues efficiently.
- Handle high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems within industrial environments while maintaining strict compliance with NFPA 70 standards.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks, troubleshooting control systems effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical infrastructure during renovation projects or ongoing operations to prevent outages or hazards.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures rigorously to protect yourself and others on construction sites or within operational facilities.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise installation or repair of electrical wiring and systems.
- Use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, along with power tools safely during all phases of work.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical wiring projects.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams confidently.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical installation practices.
- Experience working with high-voltage (HV) electrical wiring as well as low-voltage control systems in industrial settings.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters efficiently.
- Prior construction site experience involving renovation or new installations in commercial or industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards at all times.
