Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting the developmental needs of young children. Your leadership will inspire a love of learning while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for every child. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
- Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring active participation from children.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required.
- Florida DCF Child Care Training Courses are required.
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing professional development preferred.
