Position Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols
- Ensure patient safety and proper screening prior to procedures
- Administer contrast media following established protocols
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and report technical concerns as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Assist with training and mentoring of new team members when appropriate
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Active Florida license (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum one year of CT experience preferred
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and patient interaction
- Ability to lift, position, and assist patients safely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Exposure to healthcare and imaging environments
