Overview
Shining Light Counseling is expanding with a new location and looking for a Mental Health Counselor to join our team at our Scottsdale and Arrowhead practices. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals and providing counseling to a diverse population within a private practice setting. We are looking for a motivated and self disciplined person who enjoys working in a private practice setting but does not want the hassle or stress of running their own practice. We are seeking a therapist who can expand our current service offerings by working with populations and presenting concerns we do not yet fully serve. Ideal candidates may provide services for families and/or couples, or bring specialized training such as Somatic Experiencing, IFS, ART, or other advanced modalities.

We believe that everyone deserves a safe space to explore their feelings and find their path to healing and wellness. Our team currently consists of two therapists who specialize in a variety of therapeutic approaches to serve adults, young adults, and children. We offer weekday, weekend, and evening appointments and accept most commercial insurances.

Requirements
- You must be in good standing with Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and current holder of an independent license (i.e LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Provide proof of adequate professional liability insurance- DSM-5 diagnostic competency.
- Demonstrable understanding of case conceptualization, Diagnosis and Treatment Plans, and appropriate documentation.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to comply with documentation protocol necessary for best practice (completion within 24 hours of appointment).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Equipment: Must have a smartphone, your own computer, and be comfortable with technology.
- If working remotely you must have a secure, professional, HIPAA compliant space to perform Telehealth sessions, internet access and your own computer.
- Professional office space is provided for in-person appointments.
Compensation
- This is a 1099 contract position.
- Therapists are paid twice a month.
- You will have full control over your caseload and scheduling.
- Please note this is a private practice setting and it does take time to build your clientele.

Pay: $30.00 - $90.00 per hour
