POSITION SUMMARY:
The Service Manager is a visible front-of-house leader who sets the tone for exceptional dining experiences and operational excellence in the main dining area. This role leads service standards, team development, and day-to-day execution while supporting labor management, cost controls, and compliance with company policies and applicable laws. The ideal candidate is an engaging hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality member experience.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead front-of-house operations across dining, lounge, bar, VIP and event service areas to deliver consistently elevated service experience.
- Inspire, coach, and develop team members through effective training, feedback, and performance reviews and support in collaboration with leadership and HR, as appropriate.
- Address performance concerns promptly and professionally while supporting employee growth and development
- Champion member satisfaction by monitoring service execution, resolving concerns professionally, and reinforcing hospitality standards to The PM Lounge standards and expectations.
- Monitor dining room flow, pacing, table maintenance, and overall member satisfaction
- Support labor, payroll, inventory, and operational controls to promote efficiency, accuracy, and sound cost management.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety and sanitation standards, alcohol service requirements, and other applicable operational and employment guidelines.
- Partner with the General Manager for ongoing staffing levels, training, performance management reviews, and special projects that advance team and business goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned and necessary to support business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, upscale dining, private club, or food and beverage operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and solve problems in a fast-paced service environment.
- Working knowledge of labor, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and operational compliance requirements relevant to the role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS, reservation, and inventory systems.
- Professional presence, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position works in a restaurant and event environment and requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and regularly carrying or moving equipment and service items up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
