The Role
We're looking for an Account Lead who can take ownership of assigned client accounts from claim submission through final payment resolution. You'll work directly with insurance payers, client offices, and internal teams to ensure claims are processed accurately, issues are resolved efficiently, and clients receive exceptional service.
This is not a transactional billing role. You'll investigate denials, identify patterns, and take action to resolve issues while helping ensure assigned accounts remain on track. Success in this role requires attention to detail, persistence, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple accounts without losing track of what matters
What You'll Own
- Prepare and submit dental and medical insurance claims for oral surgery procedures to third-party payers
- Follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied claims and take appropriate action to resolve
- Post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments accurately
- Identify trends in denials or delays and escalate or address root causes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer guidelines, coding requirements, and reimbursement policies
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, communicating with insurance representatives and client offices to resolve claim issues and provide billing support.

- Manage assigned accounts and maintain clear documentation of claim status and follow-up activity
Who You Are
Required
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with both internal teams and external partners
- Comfortable navigating billing systems and adapting to new tools
- Able to work independently while staying accountable to team goals
- Problem-solver mindset with persistence in resolving outstanding claims
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in dental or medical billing, preferably in oral surgery or a specialty setting
- Working knowledge of insurance claims processing, including ICD-10, CPT, and CDT coding
- Familiarity with billing platforms such as DSN, WinOMS, OMSVision, or similar systems
- Experience working with commercial and government payers (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
- Certification in Medical or Dental Billing and Coding
