Believe Steamboat is looking for an energetic, outgoing, motivated sales professtional. We want to find the right person for this job, and we're willing to wait until we do!
The right candidate must have pervious sales experience, preferably in a boutique or like atmosphere. Must also be very outgoing, have amazing customer service skills, and great references! If you're energetic, smart, reliable, honest, and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you.
This isn't just a cashier position - we're looking for someone who genuinely loves retail sales, enjoys creating an exceptional shopping experience, and is excited by helping customers. We also want someone who is willing to expand and grow into other areas for the business...such as online sales, and management assistance.

Position Details
- Part-time (8-24 hours per week) - possibly more around/during holidays or busy seasonal times
- Flexible schedule - help fill-in when others have time off
- Weekend and evening availability is required
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Confidently recommend products and increase sales through thoughtful suggestions
- Establish a good, trustworthy relationship with clients and co-workers
- Help maintain merchandise displays
- Help keep track of inventory and backstock
- Restock and keep the store organized, clean, and visually appealing
- Help with window displays and ideas for social media
- Assist customers with retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring accurate cash handling and checkout procedures
- Become knowledgeable about local art and the artists
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on product details, including answering questions about features, materials, sizes, and care instructions etc
- Support store operations by adhering to phone etiquette standards, managing customer inquiries professionally both in person and over the phone
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are highly valued, but must speak clear English
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during sales and inventory tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn about products, merchandise, artists, and store policies
- Professional phone etiquette and clear verbal communication skills
- Professional, clean, appropriate dress, with good hygiene. A professional, well-groomed appearance is a must.
