Flexibility and willingness to work weekends required

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience & certifications)

Job Overview
AA&E Hauling LLC is seeking an experienced, self-driven Diesel Mechanic to join our service team. This position is primarily responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to OEM guidelines with minimal supervision, while communicating repair needs to management.
Job Duties
- Inspect equipment to identify maintenance needs and damaged parts
- Diagnose and repair vehicles per OEM guidelines
- Recommend necessary repairs to management
- Repair and replace major components including engines, drive trains, electrical systems, HVAC, clutches, cabs, and other systems
- Perform repairs within assigned timelines
- Complete road tests as required
- Accurately document repair steps and labor time using a computer system
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and management
- Properly dispose of fluids
- Clean work bay upon completion of repairs
- Follow all general safety rules
- May be asked to travel at times
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of heavy-duty truck repair experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license required
- Class A CDL preferred but not required
- CDL-qualified mechanics are subject to DOT physicals and random drug testing per FMCSA
- ASE Certification preferred
- Must own a mechanic’s toolbox and tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- General computer skills
- Reliable and predictable attendance required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, squat, reach, and kneel for extended periods
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range $25.00 – $40.00/hour, based on experience and certifications
