Company: Advanced Earthworks
Location: West Wareham, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22 - $28/hr (Based on experience and licensing)
About Us:
We are a growing, family-owned excavation company based in Massachusetts. We take pride in doing top-tier site work, utility installs, and foundation prep. We work hard, we take care of our crew, and we don't micromanage. If you show up on time, put in a solid day’s work, and want to learn the trade, you will fit right in.
What We Are Looking For:
We aren't looking for someone who just wants to lean on a shovel. We want a motivated, hard-worker who wants to learn the excavation business from the ground up and build a career. If you are hungry to learn, reliable, and ready to hustle, we will train you to move up in the company and get you behind the controls of the heavy equipment.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be working alongside our operators and crew to get jobs done safely and efficiently. Your daily tasks will include:
- Assisting with excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation.
- Digging, backfilling, and compacting trenches using plate compactors, jumping jacks, and cut-off saws.
- Setting grades using lasers, grade rods, and measuring equipment.
- Assisting with utility work: pipe laying, manholes, septic systems, water, sewer, and drainage systems.
- Directing heavy equipment operators using proper hand signals.
- Loading/unloading materials, tools, and maintaining a clean, safe OSHA-compliant job site.
Requirements:
- Reliability is #1: You show up on time, every day, ready to work.
- Hard Worker: Physical stamina to handle outdoor labor, heavy lifting, shoveling, and raking in all weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to get to the shop or job sites.
- A positive, team-first attitude and a willingness to take direction.
Huge Pluses (Higher Starting Pay):
- A Massachusetts Hoisting License (2A, 1C, etc.) is a massive plus. If you have it, we want you. If you don't but want to get it, we will help you learn the ropes.
- Prior experience in pipe laying, construction, or landscaping.
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly pay based on what you bring to the table.
- Real Career Growth: We actively train our laborers to become heavy equipment operators.
- A solid, respectful crew environment where your hard work is noticed and rewarded.
- Paid Time Off, Health Insurance
