An RV Service Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs Recreational Vehicles. We troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural issues to ensure vehicles / units are safe and fully operational. Tasks range from routine maintenance to repairing appliances and exterior panels. Wash, clean and move units around. Enters information into a data base for warranty and customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical circuits, propane gas lines, plumbing systems, and chassis components.
- Repairs: Replace or repair broken parts, fix all leaks.
- Customer Service: Explain system operations to RV owners, diagnose reported issues, and estimate costs for labor and materials.
- Documentation: Record information on required parts, completed work, and maintenance steps in alignment with manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in general knowledge in slide out operations, mechanics, HVAC, carpentry, electrical work, sealing of units and sealing RV roofs , Grey, Black and Fresh plumbing.
- Certifications: Certifications from trade schools or Recreational Vehicle Service Technicians - RVIA, RVTAA or NRVTA highly recommended but not required.
- Physical & Tools: Capability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and furnish personal hand tools and shop tools and equipment.
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
