POSITION: Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
LOCATION: Districtwide
REPORTS TO: Health Services Coordinator
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Provide state mandated health services to students under the direction of the Health Services Coordinator.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G-tube feedings, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred.
- Ability to medically document in a professional and thorough manner.
- Ability to exercise professionalism and confidentiality when providing information to the students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, parent, staff, and other personnel.
- Successful experience working in school health or in the area of pediatrics, desirable.
- Must have own transportation.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Connecticut.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $35.00 per hour.
