Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy! In this vital role, you will work directly with individuals, primarily children, who are on the autism spectrum or have other neurodevelopmental and developmental disabilities. Duties
- Implement personalized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, to support independence.
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment strategies and ensure compliance with care plans.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to their individual needs.
- Work closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions across settings.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in accordance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and review of care plans focused on autism spectrum disorders support, behavior management, and overall behavioral health goals.
Skills
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavioral health principles.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively.
- Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Home-based behavioral experience is preferred but not required; a passion for helping children thrive is essential.
- Professional commitment to ethical standards outlined in the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s (BACB) Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
