We are seeking a passionate and talented Cosmetologist Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team, whether you are full time or part time. In this dynamic role, you will deliver exceptional hair styling, coloring, and grooming services that leave clients feeling confident and beautiful. Your expertise in hair extensions, color theory, and hair styling techniques will help create personalized looks tailored to each individual’s style. As a key member of our team, you’ll foster a welcoming environment, provide outstanding customer service, and stay current with the latest beauty trends and techniques. This paid position offers opportunities for growth, mentorship, and skill development in a lively, energetic setting.
Duties
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles, colors, and treatments
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, blowouts, and special occasion updos
- Apply advanced techniques such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client looks
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with state regulations and salon policies
- Educate clients on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail options to promote ongoing maintenance at home
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointments, and upselling retail products
Skills
- Proven expertise in hair styling techniques including precision cuts, blowouts, and creative styling
- Strong knowledge of color theory for custom coloring solutions and corrective color services
- Experience with hair extensions application and eyelash extensions for added client options
- Proficiency in using salon management software like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail transactions
- Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and understand their beauty goals
- Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a positive team environment
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves, and nail care basics for comprehensive service offerings
- Retail sales skills including upselling products like styling tools or skincare items to enhance client satisfaction
- Familiarity with store management principles to support daily operations and client retention efforts

Pay: $15.00 - $100.00 per hour
