Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood development, literacy, math, and social skills.
- Assist with supervising children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement.
- Help facilitate inclusive learning experiences by working with children with disabilities or autism, ensuring they are fully integrated into classroom routines.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through Montessori or other educational philosophies.
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social skills among children.
- Communicate effectively with children to foster a nurturing atmosphere, using clear instructions and active listening techniques.
- Collaborate with other staff members to monitor individual progress and provide mentorship to new or less experienced team members.
Skills
- understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings, including private schools or Montessori environments.
- Knowledge of special education techniques, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Ability to manage classroom routines confidently while maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Skills in tutoring or literacy education to support children's reading and writing skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
