Service Writer/Clerk for Growing Agricultural Service Department
Warranty Writer:
- Type up warranty work orders and all billable/internal work orders for the whole store
- Apply for warranties for all brands
- Close work orders when warranty paid and list in spreadsheet
- Process pre-approvals when necessary
- Create estimates
- Correct warranties if they are rejected and resubmit
- Maintain and return warranty parts and paid claims
- Manage warranty parts on shelf that need to be disposed
- Create credit memos for warranties
Service Clerk:
- Answer the phone
- Approve, Verify and Allocate all expenses to the correct Department or Repair Order, assuring all mark-up of bills or purchases of outside labor, parts or services for payment
- Make any adjustments approved by Department Managers
- Approve and Open new Customer accounts and assign account numbers
- Work Orders
- Open/start work orders
- put work order parts in system
- make sure all parts are on the work orders
- take non used parts off work orders, put stock ones away and find bin location for parts to be sent back to company or to stock if can’t be sent back at the time
- Make sure the detailed story on the Repair Invoice is complete and every major item in the parts list is mentioned
- check over work orders after Service Manager corrects them for completeness and accuracy
- Review open documents report
- Assist in calling customers with updates about billing, work completed or what is needed to complete repair
- Additional tasks as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
