Overview
Manifest Consulting is recruiting an independent Vendor & Community Outreach Specialist to build relationships with local businesses and vendors, including certified MWBE/DBE suppliers — plan and host networking events, collect industry data, and promote client programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, suppliers, and community organizations to support procurement goals and outreach initiatives.
- Research and identify qualified vendors, including certified MWBE/DBE suppliers
- Proactively reach out to local businesses and community organizations
- Plan and host networking events, vendor fairs, and matchmaking sessions
- Collect and organize industry/market data to inform client program planning
- Promote client programs and initiatives to local businesses and the community
- Support supplier diversity goal tracking and certification verification
Qualifications
- 3+ years in vendor management, community/economic development outreach, or supplier diversity
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Experience planning or coordinating events
- Comfort with in-person outreach and public-facing representation
Pay: $45–$65/hour, commensurate with experience
