Full Job Description
· The YMCA of Middletown is looking for an experienced Universal Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher, who strives to create a safe learning environment that enriches the future of our students. Ideal candidate is someone who can foster a learning environment that stimulates child growth and development while creating strong child and family relationships. Responsibilities
· Planning and implementing weekly lesson plans for the 2021-2022 school year.
· Teaching strategies to document children’s progress
· Quarterly testing, recording and documenting results
· Communication with parents/guardians
Minimum Qualifications
· Experience working with children under the age of 5 in a classroom/childcare setting
· NYS Teaching Certificate (Birth-2nd Grade or Grades 1-6)
· Bachelors/Masters in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelors in related field and currently enrolled in Masters in Early Childhood Education
Job Type: Part-time
· Sept. – June/Monday-Friday 8:00-3:00pm
