About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide quality healthcare services within a correctional facility environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering essential medical care to an underserved population.
You will be responsible for performing routine and emergency nursing care, administering medications, conducting assessments, and collaborating with correctional and medical staff to ensure a safe and effective healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, triage, and treatment in accordance with established protocols.
- Administer medications and injections, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Assist with chronic care management, wound care, and mental health support.
- Respond to medical emergencies and follow appropriate procedures.
- Communicate effectively with correctional officers, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN or LPN license in the state of AZ
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Experience in corrections, emergency, or public health settings preferred but not required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a secure environment and manage care for patients with a wide range of medical and behavioral health conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $54.00 per hour
