Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Use manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility
- Document care activities accurately, update resident records, and follow prescribed care plans
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or in assisted living environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid or CPR certification
- Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, or home health settings is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks in compliance with safety standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals’ independence and well-being
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of resident information
