American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of IR experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Hospital-based Interventional Radiology department with 5 procedure rooms, including OR coverage for vascular surgery

Services include IR, Neuro IR, Neurosurgery Intervention, Vascular Surgery, and Stroke Intervention

Equipment includes two Siemens Artis Z rooms (single plane and biplane), two Philips Azurion rooms, and a C-arm room used primarily for Mediport and tunnel line placements

Procedures include aneurysm coilings, pipeline stent placements, Onyx AVM treatment, urologic work (nephrostomy, PCN, SPT placements), hepatic procedures (bland embo, Y90, TIPS, transjugular biopsies), dialysis access (catheters, declots, fistulas), trauma and GI embolizations, and Mediport/para/thoracentesis procedures

Vascular cases frequently utilize Jetstream, AngioJet, CSI, and IVUS systems; IR and Neuro providers use Penumbra systems for revascularization

Monday caseload typically includes 2–3 Neuro Intervention cases

Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a 4x10-hour shift option also available

13-week contract

Minimum of 1 year of IR experience required

Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required

ARRT certification required

BLS required

Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology required

Active state license required if applicable

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Level 1 Trauma Center with a high volume of emergent and stroke intervention cases

Biplane unit is newly operational and transitioning to serve as the primary Neuro room

Mid-level providers manage the C-arm room for Mediport placements and paracentesis/thoracentesis procedures
