Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field OR Current college students majoring in education.
- Comfortable using laptops, computers, and classroom technology.
- Must be able to commit for at least 6 months.
- Class times will be provided from Monday to Saturday 1am - 9am (US Eastern Standard Time) - These classes are for international students (English Language Learners)
- Must have better than 8Mbps download/8Mbps upload internet speed. (Test Zoom works with 4~5 participants and sharing screen works for 30min)
- Understanding of classroom management and class facilitation.
Preferred conditions:
- Certified Teacher in United States
- More than 1 year of Elementary/Middle school teaching experience in the past 3 years.
- Valid teaching certificate (Not TESOL)
- A Masters degree is a plus
Main duties: At least 5 classes/week for at least 6 months
- This position is specifically for our New ESL program
- Ensure student understanding of the content of the book and identify the needs for reinforced learning of the book contents.
- Tutor students in a remote environment
- Engage students using online tools such as interactive whiteboard, voice, video, and chat communication
- Provide quality reports on student achievement
- Interact with Instructional Specialists to improve pedagogical methods and quality communication
- Provide feedback on writing assignments/ provide evaluations for the student.
- Optional – Taking Student Level interviews. All students need to take a level test before they can take the classes. As a group interactive class, we ensure the students, who take the classes are at similar speaking/thinking/reading levels.
