We are seeking a reliable, attentive, and customer-focused Server to join our team at a Chinese restaurant. The ideal candidate will provide excellent dining service, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain strong knowledge of our menu and ingredients. This role requires strong attention to detail, especially regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Place water on tables immediately as guests are seated
- Present menus and be fully knowledgeable about all menu items
- Memorize the entire menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials
- Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders
- Clearly communicate and confirm all customer allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests with the kitchen
- Ensure food is delivered promptly and correctly to tables
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction
- Handle payments and process transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Follow all restaurant health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong memory and ability to learn menu items thoroughly
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail, especially regarding allergies and food safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Previous serving experience preferred but not required
