Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher to inspire students through the power of music, arts, and performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster creativity, develop artistic skills, and cultivate a love for the arts across diverse age groups. As a Music Teacher, you will design engaging lesson plans, manage vibrant classroom environments, and guide students in exploring various musical and artistic disciplines. Duties
● Creating and maintaining an aesthetically pleasing, positive, healthy, safe and stimulating Montessori Music environment that meets the age-appropriate Standards for Accreditation outlined by the American Montessori Society and State Music standards
● Creating lesson plans
● Attending professional development activities and staff meetings as determined by the Head of School
● Communicating with the staff and administration about lessons plans and/or observations about individual children, and event planning
● Maintain and update inventory list for instruments and musical equipment.
● Organizing the Winter Concerts with administrators
● Supporting performances and End of Year Celebrations/ Graduation
● Private lessons within school system
● Support the HOS, as needed (which may include supporting in classrooms, when needed). There is no additional compensation for evening or weekend events
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or arts settings, including preschool through middle school environments.
- Exprience in curriculum development tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Experience managing classrooms with effective behavior management strategies and classroom experience in diverse learning environments.
- Knowledge of teaching instrumental performance across different instruments

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
