Join our dynamic team as a Box Office Manager / Marketing professional, where your energy and leadership will drive the success of our entertainment venue. In this role, you will oversee ticket sales operations, manage marketing initiatives, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Your proactive approach will help maximize attendance, boost visibility, and create memorable moments for our visitors. We are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for events management, customer service, and team leadership to elevate our venue’s reputation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage box office systems and ticketing software. (tix.com)
- Oversee ticket sales, customer inquiries, and day-of-show operations in person at the box office, over the phone, and over email.
- Develop and maintain a volunteer schedule to work box-office hours ensuring that all publicly listed times are covered.
- Train volunteers in box office operations.
- Generate monthly box office reports and provide box office reports for guest production. (As requested)
- Support marketing efforts as needed, by providing reports, generating discount codes, providing ticket links and QR codes, and any other marketing needs.
- Maintain regular box office hours throughout the week and during performances.
- Assist theTheatre Manager with closing the box office, concessions, and other lobby operations during events.
- Maintain social media posting schedule
- Generate graphics and videos for all advertising efforts, including but not limited to theatre displays, billboards, radio ads, social media, flyers, posters, rackcards, digital ads, and other digital and video needs.
- Maintain relationships with local advertisers and provide them with up-to-date graphics, videos, and language in a timely and prompt manner.
- Work with volunteers to distribute posters and flyers around different local communities to advertise upcoming events at the theatre.
- Work with the Executive Director to distribute sponsorship and donation information.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Box office and other work areas.
Qualifications:
- Customer service or box office experience required. (preferably using tix.com)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Graphic design experience (especially using Canva)
- Marketing experience promoting live events.
- Experience working with volunteers is a plus.
