About the Role
The Manager in Training (MIT) role is a hands-on leadership position designed to develop future Store Managers. You will learn how to run shifts, lead teams, deliver excellent customer service, and support daily restaurant operations while preparing for promotion into a management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and ensure speed, accuracy, and quality standards
- Coach and support team members during daily operations
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and checklist completion
- Support new hire training and ongoing team development
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and cost control
- Deliver a positive guest experience and resolve issues professionally
- Follow company systems, recipes, and operational procedures
Performance Expectations (KPIs)
- Recipe & portion accuracy: 98%+
- Food safety & cleanliness audits: 90%+
- Checklist and shift execution: 100% compliance
- Training completion: 100% of assigned courses on time
- Customer satisfaction: Support 4.7+ Google rating
Schedule & Availability
- 5 days per week
- Most weekends and holidays required
- Opening and closing shifts
- On-call availability for business needs
Requirements
- Leadership mindset with strong communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Comfortable using POS and basic computer systems
- Reliable transportation and smartphone required
- Food Safety Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 20+ years old (preferred)
