Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the unique care needs of the client through an individualized patient plan of care.
- Assess and provide individualized music therapy consultations and services to the patient in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care while following all Lanai Therapies policies and procedures.
- Develop individualized music therapy plan of care by completing the music therapy assessment with patient and family when referred in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Utilize independent discretion during patient evaluation and guide the patient in the use of creative therapeutic activities for the purpose of improving or maintaining mental and physical function and quality of life.
- Develop music therapy goals using various genres and methodologies.
Evaluate the effectiveness of music therapy services with the patient though progress notes and goal writing .

Job Requirements: (all licenses, certifications, insurance and documents must be current).
- Board Certified Music Therapist certification
- CPR/AED Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only)
- License to practice within the state of Texas
- Driver's License
- Social Security Card
- Professional Liability Insurance (with $1 million/$3 million coverage limit).
- Successfully complete Criminal Background Check and Medicaid Fraud Check.
Required Education, Licenses and Certifications:
- Must be a board certified and licensed Music Therapist
