The Platt Brothers & Company, a family owned business since 1797 is a major source for zinc, zinc alloy and other non-ferrous products along with intricate custom eyelet and deep drawn stamping capabilities. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to work in our Eyelet Manufacturing division.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lay out, install, repair and maintain a wide range of production equipment, auxiliary mechanisms and power services.
- Tear down, disassemble and diagnose repair requirements for mechanical equipment
- Perform necessary pneumatic and hydraulic connections.
- Assist in the startup of new, changed, or repaired production equipment.
- Perform general building and auxiliary equipment repairs such as air, gas, water and other facilities
- Maintain maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Machining experience
- Ability to fabricate parts using lathes, milling machines, and surface grinder
- Ability to weld
- Ability to work with Toolmakers to resolve repair issues
