Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health and mental health programs. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for clinical teams, including therapists, counselors, and support staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in behavioral health and mental health counseling.
- Oversee patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical terminology and ICD coding standards such as ICD-10 and ICD-9.
- Supervise the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans incorporating therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate medical documentation, medical records, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
- Manage case coordination for patients with complex needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, disabilities, and developmental challenges through effective case management strategies.
- Facilitate training sessions on topics such as social work principles, behavior management, crisis management, addiction counseling, and working with children or individuals with disabilities.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by monitoring clinical outcomes, collecting data for research purposes, and implementing continuous improvement processes aligned with clinical research standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in behavioral health disciplines including mental health counseling, psychotherapy, child & family counseling, and clinical research.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure immediate response to urgent situations.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, and those requiring special education services.
- Skilled in intake procedures, patient assessment methods, diagnostic evaluation processes, and applying evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Exceptional leadership skills to supervise clinical staff while fostering a positive team environment focused on patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements along with experience managing medical records securely within a behavioral health setting.
