Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Repair and replace automotive components utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service techniques.
- Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics to service diesel-powered vehicles and machinery.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring vehicles meet quality standards before returning to customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and other mechanical systems repair.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with transmission repair, powertrain maintenance, suspension system repair, wheel alignment, and brake repair.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus; experience working with diesel engines is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid certifications in automotive repair or relevant technical training are preferred; ongoing professional development encouraged.
