CDL Class A Driver
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Provide prompt, effective solutions to customer needs,
to maximize route revenue through improved time management, to maximize contract terms by identifying changes in programs that require updated paperwork and to be EP Freight's “face” to our customers and potential customers.
Required Competencies
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations in last two years
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Valid Driver’s License and Excellent Driving Record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a if needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Sense of direction
- Professional Appearance
- Exceptional customer Service skills
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to use pallet jack if needed
- Ability to load/unload trailer
- Must be able to drive manual transmission
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Support: Promote our values and the EP Freight, LLC way to build the company by positively impacting the lives of our associates, customers and community.
* Customer Relationships: Handle customer concerns, ensure customer satisfaction with their fleet/products, develop positive relationships with principal customer contacts, maintain enthusiastic and professional
attitude and maximize customer contract term.
* Route: Manage route to maximize efficiency, productivity and revenue: operate company equipment safely and responsibly, comply with applicable rules and regulations relating to safety and operation of commercial motor vehicles.
* Truck Maintenance: timely communication of repairs, PM, accidents and issues
* Paperwork: work order preparation and follow-up, invoice accuracy, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,300.00 - $1,800.00 per week
