Position Summary:
P.E.A.R.L. WITH YOU, INC. is seeking a dependable and compassionate Meal Preparation & Wellness Support Staff member to support our residential veteran program. This role is responsible for preparing and serving meals while also assisting with light wellness monitoring and general program support to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, portion, and serve meals in accordance with program schedules and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas, following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with meal planning and inventory of kitchen supplies as needed.
- Conduct basic wellness checks on veterans and report concerns to supervisory staff.
- Provide supportive presence and ensure veterans are accounted for during designated times.
- Assist with light monitoring duties, including routine walk-throughs of common areas.
- Document observations and report any safety, wellness, or operational concerns per program protocol.
- Support overall daily operations of the residential program as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in food preparation, meal service, or kitchen operations preferred.
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience working in a residential, healthcare, behavioral health, or social services setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Compassionate, reliable, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
