Join the Buena Bodega team and help create memorable experiences for our community.
We're looking for an energetic, self-motivated Barista with 1–2 years of specialty café experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys connecting with people. This role is more than making great coffee - it's about creating hospitality, supporting your team, and helping our café run beautifully every day.
Compensation
$17/hour + tips (current average earnings approximately $25/hour)
Schedule
- 20–30 hours per week
- Must be available weekends and weekday afternoons/evenings
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso drinks, matcha, and seasonal specialty beverages
- Take customer orders and provide warm, genuine hospitality
- Serve food and beverages
- Make and prep house syrups and café ingredients
- Open and/or close the café depending on your shift
- Bus tables and keep the café clean, stocked, and inviting
- Help manage inventory and restock throughout the day
- Jump in wherever needed to support the team
- Operate Toast POS
- Operate Soft Serve Machine
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of specialty coffee experience required
- 18 or older
- Passion for coffee, hospitality, and community
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated with a positive, solutions-focused mindset
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Team-first attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
