Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain the appearance of various surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Execute industrial and commercial cleaning tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to ensure the facility remains clean and safe.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management for timely resolution.
Skills
- Experience in custodial or janitorial services is preferred, with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and equipment operation.
- Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned duties within scheduled hours.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean environment and assisting others as needed.
