American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring active RN licensure and at least one year of nursing experience on a night shift schedule.

Position is located in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) within a hospital setting
-
12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
-
Level 1 trauma experience is required

Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Level 1 experience required

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed

Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
-
Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
-
Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including discharge planning
-
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
-
Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical documentation) must be initiated promptly upon acceptance of an offer

Travelers who have previously worked at this health system must complete a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (following a maximum of 26 weeks of total placement)
