HVAC Installer Job Description

Triumph Home Services is seeking a dependable and motivated HVAC Installer to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation of residential heating, cooling, and ventilation systems with a strong focus on quality workmanship, efficiency, and professionalism. The right candidate takes pride in doing clean work, solving problems in the field, and delivering a high-level customer experience.
Position Summary
The HVAC Installer is responsible for removing existing equipment and installing new residential HVAC systems including furnaces, condensers, heat pumps, air handlers, ductless mini-splits, and related accessories. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with customers, coworkers, and management.
Responsibilities
- Install residential HVAC systems and components in accordance with company standards and applicable codes
- Remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-split systems, thermostats, and indoor air quality products
- Complete equipment changeouts, new installations, and system upgrades
- Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, venting, line sets, drain lines, gas piping connections, and related materials as needed
- Start up and test installed systems to ensure proper operation and performance
- Verify airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, drainage, and system controls
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite throughout the installation process
- Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding job progress, system operation, and any field-related issues
- Complete installation paperwork, job notes, and required documentation accurately
- Follow all safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
- Work closely with install managers, dispatch, warehouse staff, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently
- Identify and communicate any additional work or field concerns that need management attention
Qualifications
- Experience installing residential HVAC systems
- Strong understanding of heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
- Ability to read installation scopes, equipment specs, and job details accurately
- Knowledge of duct systems, refrigeration piping, venting, drainage, and electrical basics related to HVAC installation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in the field
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other residential jobsite conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA certification
- Gas piping, venting, and refrigeration experience
- Experience with heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and high-efficiency equipment
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Understanding of startup procedures and commissioning best practices

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
