Boothby Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in Newcastle, ME. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year supporting students in a public school / special education setting.

Provide school-based occupational therapy services to students

Conduct OT evaluations and assessments

Develop and implement IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals

Deliver direct therapy (individual and small group sessions)

Support students with:

Fine motor skills and handwriting
-
Sensory processing and sensory integration
-
Executive functioning and organization
-
Activities of daily living (ADLs)
-
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, PTs, and SLPs
-
Recommend accommodations, adaptive equipment, and assistive technology
-
Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions
-
Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
-
Active Maine Occupational Therapist license (required)

Degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or OTD)

Experience or interest in pediatrics, school-based therapy, or special education

Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
