We are building strong internal systems to support our growth and are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our financial operations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-driven Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online.This is an in-office role that works closely with the owner to ensure real-time expense tracking, accurate job costing, and properly maintained cost structures across JobTread and QuickBooks Online.Key Responsibilities:Daily & Weekly Bookkeeping
- Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Enter and manage vendor bills and expenses
- Process and track Accounts Payable (AP)
- Record client payments and support Accounts Receivable (AR)
Job Expense Entry & Receipt Tracking (CORE FUNCTION)
- Enter job-related expenses daily/weekly
- Track and organize receipts from:
- Credit cards
- Vendor purchases
- Field purchases
- Ensure all receipts are collected, documented, and attached when applicable
- Code every transaction accurately to:
- Correct job/project
- Correct cost code/category
- Maintain alignment between receipts, bank feeds, and entered transactions
JobTread Cost Codes & Cost Structure Management (CRITICAL FUNCTION)
- Maintain and update JobTread cost codes and cost items
- Ensure all cost codes are:
- Consistently structured
- Properly categorized
- Aligned with QuickBooks Online accounts
- Verify that all transactions are coded correctly to maintain:
- Accurate job costing
- Consistent pricing structure
- Reliable financial reporting
- Identify and correct inconsistencies in cost coding or setup
- Support ongoing improvements to cost code organization and system accuracy
Cost Coding & Job Cost Support
- Apply proper classification of:
- Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
- Overhead expenses
- Support accurate job costing and project tracking
- Flag miscoded or unclear transactions for review
Reconciliation & Accuracy
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card accounts
- Identify and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain clean, audit-ready books
Month-End Support
- Full month-end close
- Prepare reports for yearly CPA review
- Support 1099 tracking and organization
What We’re Looking ForFull-time or Part-time rollRequired
- 2+ years bookkeeping experience
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
- Experience with expense tracking, receipt management, and transaction coding
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred
- Construction or job costing experience
- Experience with cost codes and project-based accounting
- Familiarity with JobTread or similar software
- Experience maintaining structured financial systems

Compensation
- $35,000 – $55,000 annually, depending on experience and demonstrated ability
- Compensation will be aligned with the candidate’s ability to manage responsibilities independently and accurately
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
