Granada Post Acute is a 99-bed Skilled Nursing Facility seeking an experienced Director of Staff Development (DSD). The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of DSD experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility and possess a current California LVN license.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain staff licensure and certification compliance.
- Coordinate and provide required staff education, orientation, and in-service training.
- Maintain employee education, competency, and health records.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and employee health restrictions.
- Oversee CNA and RNA programs, including scheduling, performance, and compliance.
- Monitor quality of resident care, patient privacy, meal service, and customer service standards.
- Investigate and address resident, family, and staff concerns.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain CNA staff.
- Manage attendance, call-offs, no-call/no-shows, employee counseling, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct employee evaluations and competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current California LVN license required.
- Minimum 3 years of DSD experience in a SNF.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations and CNA training requirements.
- Experience with staff development, competency validation, and survey preparedness.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
