About the Role
Company is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations across our seafood processing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production activities in both our Fresh Fish and Frozen Value-Added departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader with experience in food manufacturing who can effectively manage people, production schedules, quality expectations, and regulatory compliance. This position requires flexibility to support either department as business needs dictate and to collaborate across all areas of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
· Supervise daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
· Ensure production schedules are executed accurately and efficiently.
· Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet customer demand and operational priorities.
· Monitor production yields, throughput, labor efficiency, and product quality.
· Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
· Work collaboratively with Planning, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehousing, Shipping, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
· Support both Fresh Fish and Frozen Value-Added operations as required.

· Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees and leads
· Set clear expectations and hold team accountable for performance, attendance, and GMP compliance
· Conduct daily start-up meetings (huddles) to communicate goals, priorities, and safety reminders
· Support onboarding and training of new hires to ensure proper techniques and standards
· Partner with HR on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions

Food Safety & Compliance
· Enforce GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, and USDA/USDC requirements at all times
· Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in real-time
· Work closely with QA to maintain audit readiness (BRC, customer, regulatory audits)
· Immediately address any food safety or quality concerns
· Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready production environment.

Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize labor
· Support implementation of process improvements and standard work
· Track and report key KPIs (production output, yields, labor hours, downtime)
· Reinforce a culture of accountability and operational excellence

Qualifications
· 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in food production or manufacturing (seafood experience a plus)
· Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs, FSMA)
· Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to work in cold/wet environments and be on the production floor for extended periods
· Proficiency with production reporting and basic computer applications.
