Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the produce team to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, rotation, and stock replenishment to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Supervise daily store operations such as pricing, merchandising, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train new employees on store policies, product knowledge, POS systems, and customer service standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and POS system operations accurately during shifts.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and quality standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of produce products, inventory control techniques, and merchandising strategies.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer engagement.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, training & development, and payroll processing.
- Ability to handle basic math calculations related to pricing, sales management, budgeting, and inventory tracking accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and operational management is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
