Position Summary
Experience in commercial insurance or a related customer service role required. The Commercial Lines Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports the insurance agency's commercial clients by providing day-to-end service on policies, assisting producers, managing renewals, processing changes, and ensuring a high-quality client experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Service & Support - Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, certificates, claims, and policy details. - Provide timely, accurate information and maintain a high level of professionalism. - Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, evidence of property forms, and other client documents. - Assist clients with claims reporting and follow-up as needed.
Policy Management - Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and audits. - Review policies, endorsements, and other documents for accuracy and completeness. - Maintain up-to-date client files in the agency management system. - Track and manage renewal timelines, gathering updated information and preparing submissions.
Underwriting & Carrier Coordination - Prepare and submit applications, loss runs, and required documentation to carriers. - Communicate with underwriters to obtain quotes, bind coverage, and resolve discrepancies. - Compare proposals and prepare summaries for producers and clients.
Producer & Team Support - Work closely with account managers and producers to support retention and growth goals. - Assist with remarketing accounts when needed. - Provide administrative support such as scheduling client meetings and organizing account files.
Required Skills & Qualifications - Experience in commercial insurance or a related customer service role required. - Strong understanding of commercial lines coverages. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office. - Active Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in a commercial lines insurance agency. - Experience with mid-market or small business accounts. - Familiarity with carrier portals and rating systems.

Work Environment & Schedule - Full-time position in-office, business casual setting
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
