JOB DESCRIPTION
APX is seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman to support the maintenance and upkeep of company properties. This role is responsible for completing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including exterior maintenance, painting, plumbing, light electrical work, drywall repair, flooring installation/repair, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general maintenance and repairs for related properties

Complete interior and exterior painting projects as needed

Troubleshoot and perform basic plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures

Perform light electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and basic troubleshooting

Repair and install drywall, patch holes, and complete finishing work

Install, repair, or replace flooring including vinyl plank, tile, laminate, and carpet repairs

Conduct exterior property maintenance including landscaping touch-ups, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and minor repairs

Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

Perform preventative maintenance to help maintain safe and functional properties

Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable codes

Communicate effectively with management regarding project status, material needs, and repair recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred

Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and flooring repairs

Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/tasks

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

Basic knowledge of building maintenance and safety practices preferred
