The Contracting Support Specialist – Basic provides senior‑level acquisition expertise and leadership in support of federal procurement operations at Patrick Space Force Base. An active DoW Secret Clearance is required, and Top Secret Clearance preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- More than three (3) years of relevant federal contracting experience.
- Must have served as a contracting specialist in a federal Government organization.
- Demonstrated mastery of federal acquisition programs, contract administration, and advanced procurement methodologies.
- Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and defense/agency‑level supplements.
- Must be highly organized, excel at multi-tasking and time management.
Required Experience and Skills
Candidates must possess all Basic level contracting support qualifications and demonstrate proficiency in:
- Simplified acquisition of commercial items.
- Defense and agency‑level FAR supplements and procedures.
- Brand name justifications.
- Entry level FAR/RFO contracting skills (Parts 5, 6, 12, 13, 15, 19).
- Wide range of commodity and service requirements.
- Fixed price contracts and fixed price variations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Executing cradle‑to‑grave acquisition activities under supervisor.
- Conduct market research, draft and post solicitations, and leverage simplified acquisition procedures.
- Draft contracts/awards/delivery orders/modifications.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and organizational policies.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
