American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring SC or compact RN license and at least 2 years of specialty experience.
-
Work on a 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
-
Care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, with a focus on Heart Failure management for inpatient and post-hospitalization care
-
Perform continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
-
Administer IV and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
-
Prepare and coordinate patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures

Uses Omnicell medication system
-
Uses Epic EMR
-
Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need

Floating required to other units or campuses as needed based on census, limited to qualified and competency-verified areas

Active RN license (South Carolina or Compact) required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Telemetry required

First-time travelers must have at least 3 years of specialty experience

Trauma Level I hospital experience required
-
Minimum 1 year of recent experience with Epic EMR required
-
Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management required

Provide holistic nursing care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and families

Orientation occurs every Monday, with annual compliance training required
-
Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

First-time travelers will be considered with the required 3 years of specialty experience

Travelers must be located more than 100 miles from every facility in the health system to be eligible, unless applying to specific exception units
-
Night shift travelers in Adult Multi-Specialty, Adult Medical Tele, Adult Cardiac Tele, Progressive Care, or RRT roles must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus
