Job Title: 1099- Intensive In-Home Trauma Recovery Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Intensive In-Home Trauma Recovery Specialist to provide therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families experiencing trauma-related challenges. This role involves delivering evidence-based interventions in the client’s home and community to promote healing, emotional stability, and family cohesion. The therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans, address crisis situations, and support long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intensive, emperically evidenced based trauma therapy to children, adolescents, and families in their homes and community settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and therapeutic goals.
- Utilize evidence-based trauma interventions such as TF-CBT
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including risk and safety assessments, to determine treatment needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and safety planning to prevent hospitalization or out-of-home placements.
- Collaborate with caregivers, schools, social services, and other community resources to ensure coordinated care.
- Offer psychoeducation on trauma, coping strategies, and emotional regulation to clients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency and licensing requirements.
- Attend regular supervision, training, and team meetings to ensure adherence to best practices and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. OR EXPECTED TO GRADUATE WITHIN THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS
- Strong ability to build rapport with diverse populations and work in a home-based setting.
- Experience providing crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with trauma-impacted individuals and families.
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) or similar trauma-focused treatment.
- Experience working with at-risk youth, child welfare, or juvenile justice-involved families.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability as needed.
- Primarily home-based with some office-based or virtual sessions as necessary.
- Requires travel within assigned service areas.
