Summary
Under the direction of the department leadership provides nursing care for assigned patients. Performs care, treatments, and procedures within scope of practice and established guidelines and provides a safe and therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
Required
-
Current and unencumbered licensure or Interim Permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through the Nevada State Board of Nursing
-
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider
-
Must successfully complete National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 90 days of hire or position entry
-
Must successfully complete Non-Violent Crisis intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entry
-
IV Competency completion within six (6) months of hire
-
ECG Rhythm Interpretation Course within 6 months of employment.
Preferred-
One (1) years of LPN experience in an acute care hospital.

Be enrolled in LPN to RN program within 24 months of hire
-
Cross training for Avasure Tech (AT) and Monitor Tech (MT) in the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU) to be completed upon hire
