We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control & Packaging Associate to join our printing team. This role is responsible for ensuring all printed materials meet our quality standards before packaging and shipping them to customers. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, a commitment to quality, and experience handling large and delicate prints and packaging processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
- Inspect all prints for color accuracy, alignment, resolution, and material defects.
- Verify job specifications against work orders and proofs.
- Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, or imperfections and collaborate with the production team to resolve issues.
- Ensure proper finishing, including trimming, packaging and shipping meets company and client expectations.
Packaging & Shipping:
- Carefully roll, wrap, or flat-pack prints based on material type and shipping requirements.
- Use appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately with job details and shipping information.
- Work with shipping carriers and maintain records of outgoing shipments.
General Duties:
- Maintain clean and organized sorting and packaging area.
- Follow safety procedures when handling large or delicate prints.
- Assist with inventory management of packaging materials and report shortages.
- Support production staff with occasional finishing work as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in printing or a similar production environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines.
- Computer skills for reviewing job tickets and updating QC records are a must.
- Ability to lift and move delicate prints and packaging materials.
- Familiarity with shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) and labeling systems is a plus.
