Overview
Join our dynamic team as an RV Technician or Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic, where your expertise in RV or auto/truck diesel & gas chassis repairs will help us deliver our sold units smoothly. In this energetic role, you will diagnose & repair a wide variety of recreational vehicles and their chassis components. Whether working on the RV's electrical systems, hvac, plumbing, generators, engines or mechanical components, your skills will directly contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive and electrical testing tools to identify issues with RVs and their chassis.
- Repair and maintain electrical systems, including RV electrical system diagnostics, automotive electrical systems, and wiring repairs.
- Conduct mechanical repairs such as engine service & repairs, transmission servicing, brake repairs, shocks/struts or airbag suspension work, and HVAC system repairs & maintenance.
- Service vehicle components including oil changes, tire rotations, air brake systems, and equipment repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems within RVs, including plumbing system maintenance and repair.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly, disassembly, repairs, and upgrades with precision and safety in mind.
- Assist in vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards; perform basic troubleshooting to determine root causes of issues.
Requirements
- experience working on plumbing, electrical, hvac & other household type systems or RV house & chassis automotive/heavy-duty diesel truck
- electrical experience helpful with a focus on RV electrical system diagnostics and automotive electrical repairs.
- mechanical knowledge helpful covering engines (including diesel), transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), shocks & struts, suspension components, HVAC systems, and automotive repair techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and complex repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Experience with plumbing system repair within RVs is highly desirable.
- No customer service or communication skills necessary
- Physical capability for some heavy lifting and performing repairs & maintenance tasks in an outdoor environment.
- Carpentry or equipment assembly experience is a plus for specialized repairs or modifications.
