Responsibilities
- Deliver various building materials to job sites using flat bed and box trucks
- Will be responsible for loading and unloading
- Drive safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies during route driving
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual techniques while maintaining safety standards
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols
- Strong understanding of route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers
