Clinical Therapist – Children & Adults

- Limited License: $60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience
- Full License: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Summary
Vital Health Management is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Clinical Therapist to join our growing behavioral health team. This full-time position serves both children and adults, so candidates must be comfortable providing services across a range of ages, diagnoses, and clinical needs.
The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals and families, communicates effectively, maintains timely clinical documentation, and works well as part of a collaborative treatment team.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and other clinically appropriate therapy services to children and adults
- Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, crisis and safety plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation
- Develop individualized, person-centered treatment goals
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate
- Conduct risk assessments and respond appropriately to urgent behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with case managers, support coordinators, medical providers, schools, families, and other members of the treatment team
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant client records
- Participate in team meetings, clinical consultations, training, and supervision as required
- Follow all organizational policies and applicable ethical, licensing, contractual, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a minimum 65% productivity standard
Productivity Expectations
Therapists are expected to maintain at least 65% productivity, meaning approximately 65% of their working time should consist of completed billable client services. For a typical 40-hour workweek, this is approximately 26 billable hours. The remaining time is available for documentation, treatment planning, care coordination, meetings, training, and other administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Active Michigan limited or full clinical license, such as LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, or another qualifying credential
- Comfortable and competent working with both children and adults
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to manage a caseload while consistently meeting productivity and documentation expectations
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds
- Commitment to ethical, person-centered, trauma-informed care
- Community mental health experience is preferred but not required
Compensation
Compensation is based on licensure level and relevant experience:
- Limited-license clinicians: $60,000–$70,000 annually
- Fully licensed clinicians: $70,000–$80,000 annually
